Online Ikebana Workshop

Learning Structure

The lesson will be done via Zoom/Google Meet
Duration: 1 - 1.5 Hours in English
Handouts with step-by-step instructions will be provided
Fresh materials and tools (scissor, containers, and kenzan) must be prepared by the student

Not at all. This introductory Ikebana class is designed for complete beginners. All you need is curiosity and an openness to slow down.

What will I learn in a single session?
You’ll discover the core principles of Ikebana (negative space, asymmetry, and the relationship between plant material and form) and create your own arrangement from scratch.

How long is the class?
The session runs approximately 90 minutes, including a short introduction to Ikebana philosophy and hands-on arranging time.

What materials do I need?
For online participants, a simple list of materials will be sent after booking.
For in-person sessions in Tokyo, all materials are provided.

How do the online Ikebana classes work?
All online classes are held live via Zoom or Google Meet. You arrange flowers in your own home while I guide you step by step. Sessions are conducted in English and are open to students worldwide.

Are the online classes live or recorded?
All sessions are taught live so you receive real-time guidance and personal feedback. Written handouts are provided for every lesson so you can revisit the material at your own pace.
