My Ikebana Journey

One curious moment. A lifetime of passion.

Flowers have always been my language — and for over a decade, I have been using that language to tell stories, mark celebrations, and bring beauty into everyday life. I am Anna, a certified Sogetsu Ikebana teacher and floral designer with roots in Manila, a heart shaped by Tokyo, and a practice that now reaches students and clients around the world. My journey began in 2012 when I took my first Ikebana lesson at a quiet community center in Nishi-Kasai, Tokyo. What started as curiosity became a lifelong calling. Today, I hold a Third Level Teacher’s Certificate (Sankyu Shihan) from the Sogetsu School, one of the most prestigious Ikebana institutions in the world. My work has been recognized internationally — from winning the Ikebana Gallery People’s Choice Award in Melbourne, to being featured in publications in Hong Kong and India, to receiving commendation from international florist groups. But beyond the awards and exhibitions, what drives me is the moment a student arranges their very first stem and sees something they never expected — themselves, reflected in flowers. I offer face-to-face and online Ikebana classes, workshops, and floral design services for events and special occasions. I would love for you to be part of this journey.
