Our Slice of Tokyo

Snowstorm in Tokyo

Last Saturday, Tokyo experienced its first heavy snowfall in 13 years. News reported injuries and even deaths caused by the ravaging snow. Some areas in Tokyo, Chiba, and Ibaraki did not have power supply until the following morning. It might be scary in a bigger picture but nevertheless experiencing such in Tokyo is rare and something to seize upon.

My husband and I stayed at home most of the time that day except for a short visit to the nearby grocery store to buy food for dinner and breakfast the following morning. The following day, we made a short walk to see Gyosen Park and the riverside in snow. We also made a snowman in the adjacent baseball field.
