This lesson can be done either face-to-face or online.


Online Session

The lesson includes step-by-step instructional materials with photos to be sent via email. A scheduled Skype or FB Messenger videochat will be arranged (based on the agreed date and time) for demonstration and guidance. Photos of the finished arrangement must be sent after the session for further review, comments, and/or suggestions.

Before the scheduled session, the participant must prepare his/her own fresh materials (flowers, leaves, stems), vase/container, scissors, and kenzan/floral foam.

For Face-to-Face Session

If you are in Tokyo and wants to learn basic Ikebana arrangement but still unsure whether to have it longer or not, this course suits you. I would be happy to show and teach how to create the basic Ikebana arrangement. The lesson includes step-by-step instructional materials with photos; tools such as scissors, containers, and kenzan; and fresh materials. I can go to your place or you can visit me here in Nishi-Kasai.

Duration: 1- 1.5 Hours

Lesson with Short Tour

A half-day package which includes:

  1. Short tour around Nishi-Kasai particularly Gyosen Park and Zoo; second-hand shops for plates and vases; souvenir shopping
  2. Ikebana Lesson inside a Japanese Tea House (Materials and tools included such as fresh materials, small vase, and kenzan) (Note: Location may change depending on the availability of the room at the Tea House)
  3. Light refreshment

Prior reservation of at least 2 weeks before your desired schedule is need should you wish to avail this package.
