Best Living Japan is an online community that provides Japan-specific lifestyle information especially for foreign families. They share different activities, events and important information to help people enjoy their stay in Tokyo and other areas. Starting January 2018, they will also offer short courses on various fields such as cooking, wellness, career development, interior design, and Japanese culture.
I am honored to have the opportunity to share my passion in Ikebana as part of these short courses. I hope you can visit and join us on Tuesdays at 13:00 – 15:00 pm.
Best Living Japan Ikebana Classes
The Ikebana Short Course will comprise of 10 lessons, one lesson per week starting 23 January until 10 April 2018. Interested participants can sign-up for 4, 8, or 10 classes. Each week I will share Ikebana techniques and styles which they can create at home on daily basis or special occasions. The first four lessons will focus on learning the basic Sogetsu-style Ikebana’s three main stems: Shin, Soe, and Hikae. After that, I will teach other elements such as lines, mass, color contrast, and creating shapes. Then for the remaining half of the course, lessons will focus on creativity and exploration.
